Summer 2025 tax bills will be mailed by July 1. If you do not have your bill, please contact us here or use the following methods to contact the Treasurer to obtain a copy and to ensure we have the correct mailing address on file:

Important note to Tax Payment Services and Title Companies: The fastest way way to get copies of tax bills and answers to questions that cannot be answered on the BS&A website portal is to email Kim Edwards at kedwards.crotontownship@outlook.com.

Property Assessment Questions

Questions about property assessments, hardship exemptions, PRE exemptions, or veteran’s exemptions must be directed to the Assessor's office. Please call the Assessor Jackie Thompson at 231-652-4301 during Township office hours on Wednesdays from 9am – 12 pm or at 231-245-1410 during non-office hours.

For Township Zoning, Cemetery, Transfer Station and all Township question except taxes, please call the main line at 231-652-4301.

You may now pay your taxes in person at Independent Bank Howard City or Newaygo during all open bank hours. You will need to bring a copy of your tax bill.

By Mail or In Person at Croton Township

To Pay By Mail

As always, you may mail in your payment to the Township. Please send the payment stub (bottom portion of the tax bill) along with your check (payable to Croton Township) to the address at the bottom of the page.

To Pay In Person at Croton Township

You may pay your taxes in person on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

If you are coming from far away, you may want to call beforehand to ensure the Treasurer is available on the day you are planning to visit or make a special appointment.

If you visit outside of our office hours, you may drop your payment in our drop box conveniently located on the front of the Township Hall.
